Squat 315, bench 200, 25 diamond push-ups not that good but I've been out for three months on all lower body activities(really bad bone bruise on the shin/little crack), and I suck on upper body lifts anyway.

Thursday(1/10/08): Class at 8am and 9:30am, good stuff.
Jan 11th - 13th

Practice on Friday the 11th was a nice time to find out how rusty everyone was from any pickin their sticks up over Christmas break. The first 20 minutes or so was pretty bad but after that it seemed like nobody was drop a pass at all. Maybe the only times when the goalie(me) had to pass left hand, im a little better on the passes now!

Saturday the 12th was a have long and painful day of practice! 3 hours and 45 minutes, alot of guy fail goals on the weight test and run test. So, after 45 minutes of stick work and a good 15 minute "talk". We did 20 suicides and 6 full field sprints. We thought practice was over but guess again, we had a little team vs. team session. We did so relays, push-ups to the losers of the relays.

Sunday the 13th was a nice day to rest and get the very little amount of homework done that was alread assigned during the first week of classes.

Notes:
Alot of people in Eastern Tennessee, have never seen lacrosse. I talk to classmate all the time on how the game is play and why it is played that way. When we take the field on Feb. 9th against Georgia State. A new chapter in the history of lacrosse will begin and a new history will start here at TWC, and in Eastern Tennessee a new future will shine.

next blog on wed the 16th of January

Hey, hows it going? I know i said wednesday would be the next post but yesterday was just one of those days. Anyway here we go.....

Monday the 14th, we start the three a days. It was a pretty tough day in the gym, in the classroom, and on the field. 6:15am in the gym because it was too cold out, we very alot of guy from the south so its harder on them to run in the cold. I wanted to be out in the 35 degree weather. its alot better then the 5 degree weather that i had to go through when i played at lees-mcrae college. Workouts in the gym or basketball court are so much fun, im sure the guys who have played in college know how much they hurt. You guys that want to play in college one, just image the pain or hurting. Haha, good time! Individual start after classes, i when from 2pm to 3:45pm. team practice followed at 4pm, and boy was it fun! Offense vs. defense; 6 on 6, 6 on 5, and 5 on 5, was on the schedule during team practice, but it we just did 6 on 6 the whole time. The defense and myself did a pretty good job for the first time as a defense and not as individuals. Offense has alot to work on but it really comes down to learning how they can fix the roles, and playing a group.

Tuesday the 15th, was a tough day overall. One out of the 22 of us, decide not to show up so the next mourning running at 5:15am instead of 6:15am. Let's just say he had a really rough day in class, and on the field. Him and one of the d-poles had a nice heated exchange at practice. Being a upperclassmen, I should have stopped it but the sleep head need a reality check anyway! Drama, gotta love it. Individual for myself at 2pm to 3pm then a little break before team practice at 4:30pm. It was again, 6 on 6. defense improved a little on the clear problems from the day before. Offense, well just do what coach tells you to do. Study Hall 7 to 9, i love study hall with my teammates! Just because I'm older doesn't mean and can do math, or tutor you in everything. Freshmen, can't live with them, can't live without them.

Wednesday the 16th, the day of 5:15am running plus the 6:15am running. The first session of running was more station work then anything, push-ups, ab's, 6 inches, squart jumps, and wall squarts. By the time normal am running came around alot of guy were hurting or injuried. I know their were sore but come all you freshmen are freak babies, only 7 guys could do the ladder run. Ladder run is a build up of sprints from end to end on the basketball court, each one is timed as well, 1 in 5 seconds, 3 in 15, 5 in 25, 7 in 35, 9 in 45, 11 in 55, 13 in 65, 15 in 75, 17 in 85, and 20 in 100. We have to get as close to 20 as possible, the 7 of us including myself got up to 13 and could not get 15. So, to finish practice we did 7 sprint and each had to be in 5 seconds. due to the amount of injuries, coach called off individual and everyone had to take a ice bath in the training room. Trainers, orders on the ice bath, not going to lie I hate them and I was little pissed at her for have to take one but I sucked it up and got through it. Team practice at 4pm, the defense pretty much ripped the offense apart. Well, I ripped the offense apart only three goals during two hours of practice. At least 30 shot on cage and only three goals is not going to win any game at the college level. To finish practice coach talked to the offense and then talked about the incoming winter storm that could drop down some snow. I would never have believe it, snow in Tennessee. Well around 7:15pm, out of nowhere guess what fell from the sky. SNOW!!! I could not believe, but it happened.

Today, Thursday the 17th. Practice at 6:15am, and yes the good old ladder run of sprints. I think only 11 guys ran today but with the field soaked, its good to get a day off so everybody can rest and get so much needed sleep. The whole county is pretty much shut down but being a private school, class when on as planed. I remember in Raleigh, NC when I was in high school the same thing would happen at the sight of snow. So today I'll rest up, clean up the room, wash my clothes, and see my lady friends. They both play softball but I only play one of them. Haha, I made a funnie. The other is my study buddy for accounting, and accounting is a whole new world for me.

Peace, next blog saturday or sunday. I will also write little bit about each player on the team so you all can learn about the different characters that make-up this team.

later

Weekend Of January 18, 19, 20

Just gonna say that this weekend nothing really happen. It was pretty much a quiet time here on campus.

Friday the 18th, we had some recruits! I'm not going to lie, when I first started playing in college I hated have recruits. But on that I'm a little older and wiser, I understand the importants of having them come and visit the school, meet their future professors, see campus living in the droms, and of course meet the players on the team. 6:15am running in the gym, was basketball instead and the losing team had to run at the end. 2pm to 4pm good old individuals. 4pm to about 6:05pm team practice, alot of six on six. When to sleep pretty early, probably around 9pm or so.

Saturday the 19th, practice at 1pm was called off, so we had to the basketball games. Women played at 2pm and the Men played at 4pm. It was great to see both of them win. After the games coach talked about the importants of supporting the other team. Basicly so that they would come to our games, and they don't know the game of lacrosse but just the fact that we went to their, they would come to ours. I really dont to nothing, hang out with myself. I just wanted some alone time because of all the time spent will the team.

Today, Sunday the 20th. I did alot of homework, because I needed to catch-up in my classes to be honest did not do my homework this past week so I could get more sleep. This week I gonna still on top of things can't do that again. Watched the football game, between the different homework session in the day.

Next blog most likely on wed or thurs this week, and I'm still writting about each player on the team so that will be on the next blog for sure.

see ya

Its been a long time from last post to this post but alot of drama, or unbelieve amount of beaf between some members of the team with each other. Coach and player, player and player, and my personal favorite getting kicked out of practice because of disagreements between players and coach or players fighting each other in the middle of practice. Its, been tough have to deal with this crap. Im not going to give out any names right now or ever. I'll leave it at that, and start a new. With the first game in Tennessee Wesleyan history, on Feb. 2nd at 2pm vs. Ga St. All post will now be weekly or the night after a game. Tomorrow there will be a post about the game, a preview of other games, and finally some info on the players still on this team.

peace

First Game vs Georgia State

We had a pretty good turn out for the first lacrosse game in TWC history, I would say most likely around 125 people. Im very sure only 15 people really known the game and how it is played.

This will be short and simple!! We got a royal butt kicking on the 2nd of February. A good amount of the freshmen on this team have pretty big ego's and their ego's are still pretty big after getting the worst butt kicking I've personal ever see or been in. We win the ground ball war but the freshmen mistakes killed us big time, honest the game was over at half-time. Being a goalie and having your defense blame you for not stopping a shot right on the crease, is a " go f-word yourself you b-word a-word freshmen". Just being creative! Honestly being a upperclassmen, I should had played better then what I did. With all of that said, we have Lees-McRae on Tuesday(my old team) and its going to be very tough to hang with them even if their at the bottom of the D2 ranks. So, in my final statement on the Georgia St. game. Is that it was a learning experenice for this very young team and myself on how tough it is to lead a young it like this. I forgot, how hard it was to play in college as a true freshman when I was at LMC.

peace
